Pundits, even as prices continuously rise, are always worth but a dime a dozen. We all tend to have opinions and for many the thought of learning what others may think seems totally unnecessary. Others seek , even cherish, the opinion of others as long as the others opinion agrees with their own. Even though both may be lacking in factual support. Another group wants to hear the opinion of others as long as the opionator, the pundit, is someone of note, someone with cachet, that permits them to be in the know even if the pundit knows little. I do value the opinions of others but believe deeply that any opinion should be subject to a "proof," as close to a mathematicians proof as possible. Needless to say in current and world affairs that is very rarely possible. But opinions can be weighed against facts, history, human psychology, etc. and hence a researched and honed opinion is of value. That is what I will try to deliver. I will try to do it with humor and I will use satire. I will not define our leaders based upon their political label but only by what they state they stand for and by what they do or don't do. Finally, I will not denigrate or reward public figures and their supporters by labeling them liberals or conservatives. As for myself --- I see myself as an independent realist, a centralist who usually falls a bit to the right of center. Pragmatic enough to have been labeled both a "pinko commie" by some and "right wing whacko" by others -- all referring to the same column.

While it is impossible to authenticate articles like this they all provide perspective and assist in reaching or supporting ones opinions. This Reuters piece makes sense though I am sure it has a hefty level of self interest added by the source.
